Bill Cosby is a serial rapist who was able to get away with his despicable crimes for decades because rape culture teaches people that rapists are always aggressive, mentally-ill, disheveled monsters who lurk in back alleys, and never the seemingly friendly dad-next-door. Rape culture teaches us to disbelieve people who make accusations of rape against gentle-appearing, successful, wealthy men. Rape culture teaches us to stay quiet when inside we are screaming.
